Terms & FAQs

1) Class details

All Classes are taught in English.

Classes are taught in a tent, please dress appropriately for cold or hot days.

   

Note:  The initial courses will be 6 weeks.  Starting in January 2025, courses will be 8 weeks.  Some students may want to register for all of the woodworking courses > Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced (total 24 sessions)

2) Cancellations

Payment must be made in full before first class. After first class, students can get a 75% refund if they choose not to continue the course.  After second class, no refund is given.

3) Missed classes

If a student misses a class or more, there will be some makeup classes offered during or at the end of the course.

If a teacher needs to miss a class, notification will be sent to the students and the class will be rescheduled.  

4) Scholarships and Subsidies

We offer scholarships or subsidies for students who qualify for financial assistance.  Please click on this button if you would like to apply for financial assistance.  Please write in the email your name, contact information and a short description of your financial situation and why you would like to apply for assistance

5) Group Discounts

If 10 or more students sign up as a group, we offer a discount of 10%

If 20 or more students sign up as a group, we offer a discount of 20%

6) Safety

There are potential safety concerns when doing woodworking or handyman skills and using tools.  As such, there will be limited use of certain tools.  Power saws will not be available for students.

 

All students (or parents of students less than 18 years in age) will be required to sign a waiver before taking a course.   Please fill in the waiver form and scan and send it to us when you register for the class.   ​​​

If there is a minor accident (like a cut or bruise) then the school administrator or teacher will provide a bandaid or wrap.  If the accident is more serious, Hatzala will be called for assistance.

 

PLEASE NOTE :  The school and instructors do their best to avoid accidents or injuries.  However when using tools and learning woodworking or handyman skills, there is potential for injury.  THE SCHOOL CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURIES OR ACCIDENTS THAT STUDENTS MAY HAVE DURING THE COURSES.
